Carbon Compliance Analyst

About This Role

We are seeking a Carbon Compliance Analyst to help our enterprise clients navigate the complexities of the UAE Climate Law and international carbon compliance frameworks. In this role, you will serve as a subject matter expert, working closely with our product and engineering teams to ensure our platform accurately reflects the latest regulatory requirements. You will also directly support key customers in preparing their compliance filings and emissions inventories.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance to enterprise clients on GHG Protocol, ISSB, and UAE Climate Law compliance requirements
  • Review and validate emissions calculations generated by the platform for accuracy and regulatory alignment
  • Monitor changes in UAE and international environmental regulations and update platform compliance rules accordingly
  • Develop and maintain emissions factor databases and calculation methodologies within the platform
  • Create compliance report templates aligned with regulatory submission requirements
  • Conduct training sessions for clients on carbon accounting best practices and platform usage
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define compliance feature requirements
  • Support enterprise clients during regulatory audits and third-party verification processes
  • Prepare research reports on emerging carbon compliance trends in the GCC region

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, or related field
  • Strong working knowledge of the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard, Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions accounting
  • Familiarity with UAE environmental regulations including the UAE Climate Change Law and Net Zero 2050 Strategy
  • Experience with emissions inventory preparation and third-party verification processes
  • Proficiency in data analysis using Excel, Python, or similar tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex regulatory requirements

Nice to Have

  • Professional certifications such as GHG-IQ, CSRD, or equivalent
  • Experience with ISSB S1/S2 or TCFD disclosure frameworks
  • Arabic language proficiency
  • Prior experience working with UAE government entities or regulatory bodies
  • Familiarity with carbon credit standards such as Verra VCS or Gold Standard
